NOTE: ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE
BRANCH OFFICE FOR CONSIDERATION. THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS TO
THIS RULE.
To be considered
for Equity membership you must complete the Application Form including
information on:
Training - includes Classes, Workshops and any full or part-time tuition
undertaken. For Stage Management, training must include A.S.M. Work.
Enclose copies of graduation certificates for any training done.
Non-Paid Performing Experience - includes student and amateur
productions. For Stage Management, work must be Back Stage or Technical.
Paid Performing Experience - includes fringe productions, Extra-work in
Equity productions, Non-Equity videos and film for which you received
payment. Membership is generally secured by five Equity Contracts (two
of which may be for commercials) or 25 weeks of Equity work.
Enclose details and evidence of all paid work done, i.e. contracts,
letters of engagement, etc.
Have your
application signed by two Equity members who are in benefit and who are known to you (this is not
necessary for Student Applications).
Please enclose C.V. and headshot (8x10
Black & White).
Any additional information relevant to your application may be submitted on
a separate sheet.
Applications for Equity membership will not be considered unless the above
conditions are fulfilled.
