Issues covered at this meeting included:

a) Excluding artists from the provisions of the Competition Act so that we can improve the basic quality of our contracts by agreement with those who commission artists. 

b) Getting the Arts Council to ensure that arts organisations that are funded by the state treat artists they contract well. 

c) Considering how to implement the Copyright and Related Rights Act to benefit artists and value creativity.

d) Improve the representation of artists’ organisations on state boards so that we can try to develop policy in those organisations that supports artists.
