THE ARK, A CULTURAL CENTRE FOR CHILDREN

together with actor Louis Lovett, in association with Theatre Forum

present a unique training opportunity for actors interested in theatre for children and family audiences.

Dates: Monday 22nd March to Thursday 25th March inclusive and Monday 29th March to Thursday 1st April inclusive.

Time: 10a,m to 4 p.m. daily

Venue: The Ark, A Cultural Centre for Children, 11a Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2

Cost: €70 (The Ark will be making two bursaries available).

MARTIN GRACE

(R.I.P)

It is with deep regret that we learned of the passing on 27th January 2010,

following an accident, on location in Spain of  Martin, veteran stuntman, Equity member

and true gentleman who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Martin's funeral will take place as follows: 

Removal on (Thursday) 18th February to St. Brigid's Church, Lisdowney, Kilkenny Street, Freshford, Co. Kilkenny.

Burial after 11 o'c Mass on (Friday) 19th February in St. Lactain's graveyard, Lisdowney, Kilkenny.

Reception after at Springhill Court Hotel,

Waterford Rd.,

Kilkenny City.

Become your own make up artist!

The Actors Council has organised a workshop with MakeupFabLicious.  
Designed specifically to cater to the needs of professional actors, the course assumes no previous make-up knowledge, taking us from the basics of colour theory and facial features all the way through to special effects and the available products. Learn about Period make up (1920's, '30's etc), Historical (17th century, 18th etc), make up for stage, camera and photography. Applications are invited from professional theatre directors who would wish to direct shows with Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe, the National Irish Language Theatre in Galway city.

 An Taibhdhearc especially welcomes the opportunity to discuss potential projects with directors with whom we have not yet worked.

 We welcome discussion with those who would wish to produce a particular play with which they feel an affinity or which they believe would be of benefit to produce as Gaeilge.

 Fluency as Gaeilge is not a prerequisite but a working knowledge would be of benefit of course.
